On Friday, November 20th, Wood Elementary School celebrated a grand opening with a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony complete with a howl of excitement from the wolf pack!
The virtual event invited in-person students and teachers celebrating in their classrooms as well as online learners and community members to join in from their computers and devices as Wood Elementary celebrated the official opening of their newly rebuilt school.
The rebuild included thirty new classroom spaces, a new administration and learning commons building, and new multipurpose room and cafeteria. The new campus provides ample opportunity for natural daylight in each space and is complete with polished concrete floors and an outdoor dining area. Additionally, the project includes a new bus drop and parent drop-off area which provides more parking opportunities.
