“All children are capable of success, but there are crucial pieces that go towards puzzle,” says Dr. Lupita Hightower, Superintendent of Tolleson Elementary School District.

Pieces like teachers and school staff play a crucial rule in child education but so does infrastructure. Students not only need people who believe in them and make a positive impact but also need an environment that will enhance their educational learning.

Desert Oasis Elementary School received a brand new 33,000 sf building that houses:

    • a new gymnasium complete with two basketball courts and bleachers
    • science labs + collaborative spaces
    • Separate cafeteria and multipurpose room that can be used at the same time.
    • a performing arts stage with a state-of-the-art audio visual system and theatrical lighting
    • a band room, which is especially important because it will give the school’s 60 member award-winning mariachi band a place to practice and perform!

A total of ten classrooms and two learning commons make up the two-story classroom building for Desert Oasis Elementary.
