TEMPE

In 2019 we constructed a new central office designed with sustainability at the forefront. When looking for our new business home, we wanted to “make something new again”. It was important to repurpose a structure and salvage as much of the materials as possible. We repurposed a 1970’s warehouse in Tempe and salvaged over 70% of the building components, while adding a modern industrial feel. In doing so, we were able to recycle 75% of our construction waste.

Every aspect of our new office is not only environmentally responsible, but also takes into consideration team member comfort and operational protocols. It was built to encourage energy efficiency and reflects the most current technologies. For example, we installed a Variable Refrigerant Flow system (VRF), which reduces our energy consumption by over 30% when compared to conventional equipment. Additionally, our Energy Management Systems are fully automated and programed to shut down when unoccupied. We also use mechanical economizers and low velocity ceiling fans to bring in outside air and circulate it, passively cooling our office. Our high performing building envelope keeps the heat out, and the cool air in. We use low SHG glass, radiant heat barriers, natural plant shading and rigid insulation in the facade of the structure. Even our landscaping is Xeriscape.

CHASSE has also invested in several bikes and motorized scooters for our team to use during lunch breaks and errands. We are located less than .5 miles to more than 20 restaurants and major retail stores. Centrally located, our office is an easy commute from anywhere in the Valley. We are less than 2 miles from the light rail and have a bus stop less than 500 yards from our front door. 

TUCSON

In 2014, a team of five moved to Tucson to build the Tucson Premium Outlets, a new 350,000+ SF retail development located off the I10 and Twin Peaks Road. Throughout the construction process, this team fell in love with the community which led to the decision to launch a Tucson office. In 2016, CHASSE’s Southern Arizona Regional Headquarters opened its doors with a team of five. Today they operate with a team of  20, all local and living in Tucson, dedicated to providing superior construction services to Tucson and its neighbors. In 2019, the team moved into a 3,800 SF space to accommodate their growth, and hope to continue growing along with the region. 

The building was previously home to an attorney branch with a courtyard in the middle and offices surrounding. We enclosed the courtyard with metal roofing and clerestory windows creating our new vaulted work station area. Walls were demoed and replaced with glass partitions to create numerous conference rooms and break-out spaces. In addition, we added exterior windows to take advantage of sustainable natural light. We are always looking for ways to do our part in building green. In addition, we utilized LED lighting, energy-efficient mechanical units, desert landscaping, and a bike rack for sustainable commuting.
