PROJECT MANAGER /

Job Description Chasse Project Managers are master organizers, ensuring the project’s budget, documentation and communication are meeting and exceeding agreed-upon goals. Project Managers serve as a point of contact performing a variety of highly-skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams. Their responsibilities include overseeing construction operations, troubleshooting, and providing highly-skilled technical advice and assistance to department management and personnel. In conjunction with Superintendents, our Project Managers work closely with clients to keep the line of communication open while meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and transcending expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help facilitate project start up meeting with project team. Follow up with interim meetings and action items throughout the project.
  • Develop a buyout strategy with the Project Director and review subcontractor scopes prior to releasing.
  • Manage all project documentation including Construction drawings, RFI’S, Submittals, and Meeting Minutes.
  • Manage the project budget. Meet monthly with Project Director and review job costs status, projected costs, over & under lines as well as variance from prior month.
  • Manage action items and follow up to ensure plan is being executed as developed.
  • Attend design meetings, and provide feedback on phasing, constructability and schedule. Work with preconstruction in developing cost models, and options analysis.
  • Develop a master schedule and phasing approach with PD & superintendent.
  • Work with the field team & Project Engineer to implement LEAN practices. Participate in Milestone Pull Plans. Work with the Project Engineer on facilitating weekly work plan sessions.
  • Support preconstruction team with schedule & phasing strategy, profit strategy, constructability review and qualifications.
  • Support preconstruction team in developing and presenting the GMP package. Understand the prime contract conditions, and how they impact the GMP deliverable.
  • Work with the Project Director & the Field staff to solve project challenges.
  • Ensure client expectations are being exceeded, and the architects design intent is being delivered. Manage the team the Chasse way!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of commercial construction management experience. Ideally in the K-12 and/or Multi Family market.
  • Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in construction or related field.
  • Progressive experience in the General Contracting industry with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Collaborative approach in delivering results and managing teams.
  • Motivated individual with excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization skills that prove your ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a time timely fashion.
  • Experience in managing risk as well as change management.
  • Strong negotiating skills on demand in a professional manner that represents our Chasse Building Team.
